Hala Targowa (Market Hall)
Location: Piaskowa 17 street
Hala Targowa is our favorite place for shopping in Wrocław. In the historic building of the old Arsenal there nearly 200 colorful stands, full of fresh products. On the ground floor, you can buy fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, dairy, bread, sweets, and flowers. Next to the main entrance, there is also a milk bar with inexpensive Polish dishes. An interesting fact is that in the basement of the hall there are warehouses, freight elevators and a special room for dividing and processing meat so that customers get only the freshest products.
On the 1st floor, there are many smaller shops with clothes, accessories and various services. Within Hala Targowa building there is also a very good restaurant with craft beer and a small tea room. Hala Targowa is a must-see of every trip visiting Wrocław. The hall is located in the heart of the city, near Ostrów Tumski.

Renoma is a shopping mall with a long and interesting history. The building was built in 1930 and then thoroughly rebuilt in 2009. Renoma is located in the very center of Wrocław, on the way between Market Square and the Main Railway Station.
This shopping mall has many stores with clothes, footwear, jewelry, home accessories, extensive bookstore, drugstore, supermarket (Bierdonka) and few shops with toys and clothes for kids. On the 3rd floor, there are some restaurants with Polish, Japanese and Italian cuisine, French crêperie and several cafés.
If you like art, you can experience the latest trends in modern art. Artworks were designed with the view of their display in the shopping mall. The exhibits include examples of painting and spatial installations as well as examples of modern industrial design.
Feniks Department Store
Location: Rynek 31/21
The Feniks Department Store is located in the center of the Market Square and is one of the oldest department stores in the city. It was built in 1904 and for many years it was the most exclusive and expensive place in Wrocław, and at the time of opening, it was one of the largest and most modern commercial buildings in Europe. It is also one of the most interesting buildings in Market Square, built in the Art Nouveau style.
Currently, Feniks has 6 floors on which you can buy almost anything. These are not exclusive things, but rather those for everyday use – from groceries to cosmetics, toys, clothes, footwear, home items, books, board games, things for hobbyists and athletes. There are also some small services available, such as travel agency, fairy, watchmaker, hairdresser or locksmith.
An interesting fact is that on the 4th floor, on the windowsill, you can find one of the Wrocław dwarfs called the “Collector”.
Location: Paczkowska 26 street
This gourmet bazaar takes place every Sunday at the old brewery on Paczkowska street from 10 AM to 3 PM. Bazar Smakoszy is a place where locals buy ecological and top-quality food products. You can purchase here freshly baked bread, spices, organic vegetables and fruits, vegan products, freshly roasted coffee, bio cosmetics, preserves, fish or cheese. Now and then there are some interesting events taking place here, e.g. the Coffee Festival or Food Truck festival. Be there shortly after opening to avoid crowds.
The second location of the bazaar at Tęczowa Street is open on Saturdays from 9 am to 2 pm.
Location: plac Grunwaldzki 6
Von Schpargau is a unique, charming shop in Wrocław. If you are a fan of second-hand treasures, vintage items with an interesting design or gems found on flea markets, you will definitely love this place. There are a lot of rare things that find buyers very quickly. You can find here books, furniture, decorations, toys, gadgets and more. Each thing has its own history and you can be sure that it will be difficult to find a similar thing. You can also have delicious coffee here.
Market at Świebodzki Station
The market at the former Świebodzki Railway Station is quite unusual place for shopping in Wrocław. It is the largest marketplace in the center of Wrocław, which operates only on Sundays from early morning to early afternoon. This market has its opponents and supporters. The former are outraged by the disorder, crowds of people and the questionable quality of the available products. Others, in turn, willingly visit the market to buy unusual items for a small price.
Almost anyone can sell at the market. You can find here clothes made in China, vegetables and fruits, footwear, old books, second-hand items, furniture, live animals and more. It is worth adding that, despite the ban on Sunday shopping in Poland, the market is always open.
If you decide to go to the market and make your own opinion about this place, we also recommend visiting Kolejkowo located in the main building of the former Świebodzki station. It is a huge exhibition showing the Wrocław and Lower Silesia region in miniature. Click here to read more.
